Some one always makes you smile

Today was full on, I took a trip to SE London for a meeting. While parking the beast , I engaged in a conversation with a lovely man ( who also had a beast), who was working and had stopped for a break. We spoke about adventures and future trips as well as looking for a challenge. This was a good experience, exchanging knowledge on landscapes, places, journeys etc.

We parted with a smile, him generously giving a me a present of a plain willow wreath and a bag of Apple wood. After some thought I decided to create a bandana wreath to hang on my wall.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake day

Another year goes by and we get the chance to flip our frying pans, savour pancakes and get creative with bandana designs. I had the theme of Shrove Tuesday and Mardi Gras . I decided to print this bandana to set everything in motion for a special international pancake day.

Someone ate the eggs for the batter ! Luckily I had some pancakes in the freezer. So I rustled up some help from the bandana crew. They peeled and cored the apples, I sautéed them in a teaspoonful of sunflower oil, four tablespoons of hot water and desert spoonful of sugar.

We worked on assembling our pancakes, cranberry sauce first.

Then apples with syrup from the pan.

Finally a pancake on top.

Hope you enjoyed your day and got creative in the kitchen, Happy Shrove Tuesday or for those of our friends over the pond Happy Mardi Gras.

Birthday's and Hesfes 2009

Birthday's
We're frantically preparing for a member of the crew who's having a birthday all systems go ! The evening went well off for a swim at the local baths then off to Nando's for a slap up meal. The food was great very tasty, we'll definately be going back they gave a lovely selection of wine. We then went back to HQ to carry on the birthday celebrations. I just love sparklers !

HESFES
We're also packing to head off to hesfes tomorrow, the beast has been checked oiled and given some juice. It's starting to look a bit full under the amount of gear we're taking, that's including the crew.

It's a good thing we got the chance to gig the bandana workshop at Burnbake before the next event ,we do miss the old workshop but this ones even bigger. Mind you we didn't need do a inventory on our tents to check if all the gear was there. Well it was packed properly from the last trip and we didn't leave anything behind. At least we know how the workshop goes up we could all crash in it if we need to. We're not far from Bandana workshop HQ, so we can always go back if we've forgotten something. Check it out ! Hesfes

We've had some very creative attendees, their designs has been superb.

We meet lots of people on our travels who do the most interesting things here's Sharnarose hoop dancing.
